My Story

Darling Grey was inspired from a love of my Southern roots and a deep appreciation of timeless English elegance. Growing up I fell in love with reading English novels from authors like Jane Austen, and quickly fell head over heels for the English countryside lifestyle. My mom also has a shared love of quaint English styles, and therefore, my childhood was filled with English literature, passed down scone recipes, tea parties, and English flower gardens. I began seeing how many Southern and East Coast families incorporated English styles through many aspects of their lives and homes. When I was 10, my parents took my family to the English countryside, and I was finally able to experience the places I had only read and dreamed about. Southern charm and English elegance have always been closely intermingled in my heart since then. Thus, Darling Grey was born.
